7 Reasons Why You Still Haven't Gotten Any Job Orders On Fiverr

You have just set up your Fiverr seller profile, created a gig and you are getting impressions, views and clicks but with zero job orders. You ask yourself, “what am i not doing right?.” The following mistakes sellers make could answer your question:

1. Bad grammer.

This is a very common mistake, I have noticed sellers make when setting up their gigs. Let's take for example your gig is centered around article writing, and the gig title says “I writes articles for you very good ones” if you were a buyer, would you hire this seller to write articles for you? My thought exactly. Ensure good use of grammar when describing your gig or you would scare potential buyers away. Some writing aids like- Grammarly keyboard and prowriting software will help you in ensuring good use of grammar.

2. Cheap gigs.

You can have all the experience, skill and expertise needed to execute a gig but still won't get orders. There is a quote that says “how you present yourself is how you are taken” this is also applicable to your gig. Most buyers who are after excellent work, tend to ignore gigs with lesser price tags just because they feel a quality gig ought to cost more. That is not to say gigs with low price tags don't get patronage, they do but how often does that happen?.

3. Low-quality gigs.

Just because the point above emphasized on the importance of placing value on your gig, doesn't mean you should falsify the actual gig value. An intelligent buyer will sniff out a fraudulent gig within minutes. Instead, make sure your gig is of high quality and that it represents your capabilities. Always try to study and improve your published gig until it meets the desired expectation of what a quality gig is all about. Have in mind that a low-quality gig amounts to little or no patronage.

4. Waiting for the buyer to come to you.

If the buyer doesn't come to you then go to the buyer. Most buyers don't have the time nor the energy to search for gigs, what they do is to place in buyer requests and sellers come to them. As a seller don't ever make the mistake of thinking you will get enough patronage, by just creating a gig and publishing it. Respond to buyer's requests — click on your seller profile dashboard, then click on more: the buyer's request option will be displayed. Send in your offer and patiently wait for the buyer to respond if you are picked.

5. Focusing on yourself instead of the buyer.

Most sellers make the mistake of making themselves the centre of attention, by focusing on their skills alone and in the process ignoring the needs of the buyer. Study the job description properly, get acquainted with what is required of you by the buyer. This will help you respond better to the buyer's request, and this gives the buyer the impression that you can carry out his order effectively.

6. Not being online.

A lot of buyers only patronize sellers who are actively online, because they want their orders carried out as quickly as possible. If you are among the population of sellers who consistently stay offline, then don't expect any orders anytime soon.

7. Lack of gig promotion.

The importance of gig promotion cannot be overemphasized. Promoting your gig translates to more impressions and views and this further means the likelihood of more potential buyers viewing your gig. The more promotion you do, the higher the chance of getting job orders. You can promote your gig on social media, blogs, websites etc.
